Blog: December 2008
Janga!
Ben San, the Jenga master at work.
Icecream Tunes
Icecream stop on the way to the beach. The xmas traffic was at it's worst.
Toast
The Switchback boys were pretty toasted after their final race for the year. They capped off a great year. The improvement in their riding (and in general) was unbelievable.
Ladies
Mt Ainslie was covered in about a million of these.
Xmas Feast
Xmas dinner at the Hendos. All the meat you could ever want.
Big Hams
Xmas ham, Aussie style. Big and juicy.
The Echelon
Getting into the Ks with Bec and Johnny.
True Art
Dickson pool's latest artwork.
Gourmet with a big 'G'
And then the desserts...
The real deal
Making Gnocci from scratch, instructed by Jan - a German-born Michelin Star chef - with the Agroup guys. Eating it was more fun though.

Slicks
Go karts with the Agroup crew. Lots of sideways action!
Blue Tongue
The second blue-tongue lizard sighting in one day, on the lake.
Trick
Getting fancy now...
Cafe Cruise With Bubs
Bill, Soph and Maia hitting up Tilleys on their (one of many) steeds. Maia is already bike-obsessed!
Shop Bike
The clean and simple steelie ready to dodge cars etc on the local streets.
Back on the Trails
Hitting up the Majura tracks felt damn good. Reminds me why single track is all the rage.
Aussie Office #34
The office is open again in Canberra. This time the southside branch...
Berm kids
Kai, Kaysee, Ashley, and Jamie hanging at the grandstand while Quintin tries out his new rig in Tuggeranong Pines.
The Shed
The bikes' waiting room.
Giant
Adam on this GF. Yes, that IS a 29er!
Backroads
Getting back into the local hills felt strange. Dry, straight, dead roads, but good.
The Chase
It's hard to catch these roos on a bike. They're hard to sneak up on too.
Bad Roos
The kangaroos out at Tidbinbilla were fighting non-stop. They own the roads there too.
Dougie's Toys
The McLean shed is full of toys. The latest projects - a single speed roadie to match his light aircraft.
Painful Recovery
A so-called 'easy' lake loop with Mike and the Hendos was a bit tougher than expected. Especially with Johnny Rotten on form (here leading a paceline!). Lewie joined in for a bit too, just to make things harder.
Canberra Treads
Back into training after a month off. Heavy legs, small lungs and no endurance. But it felt good to get out there.
Priority 1
The first thing I did on arriving back in Australia is making a real espresso coffee. One thing I've missed all year.
