The Joys
Packing for a flight... in the wind with sand flying around - fun fun!
Trouble
We ran into two trouble-makers on our ride.
Beach Time
Too cold to swim, but nice to be at the beach nonetheless.
Winners are Grinners
James and Kylie went awesome. Wipe that grin off James!
Top
Bec Hendo took out the women's u23 XC in good form.
All Teary
And then he shed a tear. Benny smiling even after an unlucky day.
Me Me Me
Maca dominated the XC and took a well deserved victory. Does green and gold clash with ginger?
Great Day!
XC Nationals start, moments before being taken out, along with my chain and rear wheel. Got going a couple of minutes later, only to hit the back of the field and spend all day in traffic with a slipping chain all race. What an awesome day.
Weekend at Barry's
Nationals at Adelaide went terribly. Suprisingly good form, shockingly bad luck. Try again next year...
Bogan Central
We all know bogans and Commondoors go hand in hand. No exception in Adelaide.
Ice Man
Benny and his damn ice baths. He went for a raft down the river just after this.
The Van
Our 3-seater for the weekend. Gun driver Pete D in control all the way.
Too Casual
We all kicked back at Canberra airport, waiting until we got the VIP call-up. It never came and we noticed they were closing the plane doors, then ran up. Luckily the nice people at Virgin re-opened for us.
Astrochem Live
Astrochem are playing again next month. Check it out for some funky tunes!
Pure Style
Vince Flanagan out-does himself in style and riding. He won his Cyclo-X race in a wintery Hyogo that morning.
Cutting through snow
He never rests. Yu munching up the snow in a world cup in Belgium.
Kakoii Na!
Motoji drives it along, just for the crowd.
Man overboard
A paparazzi shot of the aftermath of my capsizing the Hendo's tinny. All was saved, aside from a Leatherman and a battery. Oh, and maybe people's trust in my boating ability.
The Palace
10 days in this place on the water - what more could one want!
So Romantic
Leanne's postcard photo.
We have a winner
Benny trying to take the credit for Kate's big'n.
Hooked
The Don - the new fishing guru.
Pure Style
Yeah yeah!
Coming In
The storm was coming, but the fun continued on the doughnut.
Self-inflicted soreness
Wakeboarding once every 2 years isn't a good idea if you want to be able to walk (let alone ride) the following week.
Bob
Maca about to hit the wake. Getting in was the main challenge.
Smiley
Bec was obviously loving the wakeboarding.
GourMET
Gourmet prawn pizzas care of R & J. A highlight.
Alco
A beer and 2 wines, just the beginning.
Wood Stacking Tournament
Serious business.
It wasn't my fault!
Capsizing the boat wasn't due to lack of adherance to safety or a shortage of skill. It was pure physics and equipment failure.
No Losses
No lives lost, no injuries. Just a lost battery and pocket knife, waterlogged phone, and a few wet items.
Rescue
Lucky some kind citizens came to the rescue to drain our boat.
Off Again!
A quick engine drain and they're off!
